AWS Administrator



The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.  This individual will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation and will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values, policy and guidelines



  • Provides technical support for both hardware and software issues that the users encounter
  • Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
  • Maintains a daily log of all system errors and their corresponding resolutions
  • Installs new/rebuild existing servers and configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
  • Installs new/upgrades servers’ operating systems, application software and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
  • Administers infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, protection software and other processes
  • Performs daily system monitoring, verifies integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs and verifies completion of scheduled jobs suck as backups
  • Check the overall status of the system installed in the servers
  • Researches, recommends and implements applicable GUI (Graphical User Interface) based monitoring and reporting tools
  • Prepares, develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures based from the monitoring log of system processes
  • Customizes security protocols based on the requirements of the requestor and enforces appropriate security protocols and procedures
  • Researches and recommends innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.  Identifies approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
  • Performs other related tasks that may be assigned



  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Science & Technology, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Others) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within IT Operations, Infrastructure Services Support (System Management), Operations Monitoring and End User Support
  • Advanced knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues
  • Experience in planning, designing and maintaining data networks and servers
  • Experience in working with backup solution
  • Experience working with antivirus and security access management solutions
  • Can work independently and a team member
